About My Art Journey

My first real step into the industry came through an internship at a production house, creating animated television commercials. That experience changed everything for me-I knew I wanted to be an animator.

• I committed fully, taking evening classes after long workdays and commuting for hours just to keep learning.
• That persistence paid off when I was accepted into Warner Bros. Feature Animation’s first internship program, and I was later hired full-time.
• I went on to work on films, including Space Jam, The Iron Giant, and The Tigger Movie.

Life eventually brought me back to Boston when my mother became ill. I returned home to care for her and stayed connected to my creativity by designing murals and characters for commercial, residential, and healthcare facilities. During those years, my art career paused, but my creative drive never left me.

After my aunt passed away, something shifted, and I made the decision to return to my creative path. I re-entered the art world with fresh energy, learning new tools, exploring digital illustration, and adapting to how the industry had evolved during my time away.

Through Bonnie Christine's Immersion course, I discovered surface pattern design and the world of licensing artwork for products like fabric, wallpaper, and home décor. That experience opened my eyes to new possibilities for my work. 20 years as a muralist laid the foundation for a style that has evolved into something whimsical and playful, centered on movement, storytelling, and imagination.
